| Peace Arch Canadian Border Crossing

Homeland Security Coordination

Aero-Metric's Seattle office provided engineering-scale mapping for this 46-acre GSA project. The scope includes the main border crossing into Canada, the new Peace Park, segments of I-5, and portions of the adjacent City of Blaine. Aero-Metric was a subcontractor to Bush, Roed & Hitchings (BRH), the project land surveyor. Aero-Metric coordinated with the Department of Homeland Security to obtain clearance to fly at 1,000' over the border crossing. Deliverables were 1:200 mapping with 0.25m contours and 1:200 orthophotographs with 5.0cm pixels. Spot heights were provided to an accuracy of 5.0cm.

"Aero-Metric's highly accurate and detailed product enabled BRH to seamlessly merge the photogrammetry with our ground mapping. This was accomplished through close project coordination, using a common Auto-CAD layering scheme, and crosschecking data points in the field. The results were beyond expectations."
—Darrell Nance, PLS, Sr. Associate, Bush, Roed & Hitchings, Inc.
