| Scott County, Minnesota Ortho and Contour Project

County Wide 2' Contour Generation from Stereo Enhanced Lidar

Aero-Metric's Minneapolis office provided services including county wide color aerial photography at 1"=833' negative scale and county wide black and white photography at 1"=1666' negative scale. ABGPS data was recorder and processed for both scales. All film was scanned on an Intergraph PhotoScan TD at 14 microns. Softcopy aerotriangulation was completed on both scales of photography using Intergraph's ISAT software. The 1"=833' scale photography was used to create color digital orthophotography with a 0.5' pixel resolution.

Scott County LIDAR enhanced contours

We also captured county wide lidar at an approximate 2' spacing. Lidar was processed to bald earth. The 1" = 833' scale photography was then also used for quality control and to enhance the bald earth lidar data with breaklines for hydro enforcement.  2' contours were delivered to meet National Map Accuracy Standards. Limited planimetric detail was compiled county wide from the 1"=1667' scale photography to produce 1" = 200' scale mapping. Project formats included Raw lidar in las, ortho in TIFF and MrSID, DEM in dgn and ASCII and planimetrics in dgn.
