| Tok Subdivision, Tok, Alaska

The purpose of this work was to provide digital elevation model, ground surveying and 4-foot contour mapping of the development of the Tok Subdivision. During 2005, the Alaska State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) awarded a contract to AERO-METRIC Anchorage to provide LIDAR mapping over an area approximately 94 square kilometers in the vicinity of Tok, Alaska.

In August of 2005, AERO-METRIC established the basis of the LIDAR survey and collected ground truth information in the project area. We provided a complete report of ground truth anaylsis (quality assurance and quality control).

In September 2005, we acquired LIDAR data for this project. The LIDAR flight plan called for a flying height of 3,000 meters Above Ground Level (AGL) with an average LIDAR data posting density of 2.1 meters.

The data set was processed at AERO-METRIC's Anchorage facility to meet the deliverables and accuracy requirements for 1"=300' mapping with 4 foot contours. The project was completed on time and delivered to DNR in December 2005.
