High Accuracy Mapping
AeroMetric's High Accuracy Mapping provides great accuracy, allowing for features to be represented in full detail — with the level of accuracy being carefully tailored to meet each clients' project needs. This level of aerial mapping detail and precision can only be achieved reliably and cost-effectively from helicopter platforms.
AeroMetric's High Accuracy Mapping solution utilizes a variety of helicopter based sensor systems. Our newest and most versatile system includes a Riegl VQ-480i LiDAR sensor and a Phase One iXA 80 MP digital camera mounted on a pod for use in different types of rotorcraft. AeroMetric also has access to additional quality systems through our partners and subcontactors. Using any of these helicopter based sensor systems, AeroMetric can supplement our helicopter aerial photography with digital imagery, LiDAR or video on-the-fly, to add value to your project.
Corridor Mapping
High Accuracy Mapping can be used to capture low altitude details — typically 500-1,000 feet above the corridor — along transportation rights-of-way, high voltage transmission alignments, and pipeline routes. Final deliverables can include digital orthophotography, allowing the entire corridor to be visualized in great detail, as well as topographic maps and planimetric maps of proposed vertical and horizontal alignments and final routes. AeroMetric can also provide deliverables in PLS-CADD™ format for transmission lines.
Site Mapping
High Accuracy Mapping can be a great base mapping tool showing closely spaced contours and planimetric detail. Applications include engineering design, mining operations, stockpile volumes and emergency response conditions.
Sensor Fusion
AeroMetric’s High Accuracy Mapping platform employs up to four sensors that can collect data simultaneously. This results in unprecedented precision for orthophotography and other LiDAR-derived deliverables.
